THE Myanma Gems and Jewellery Exhibition was held yesterday at the Jie­gao International Jade & Jewellery Trade Centre in Ruili, Yunnan Province, the People’s Republic of China. Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conser­vation U Hsan Oo and Yunnan Provincial Gov­ernor Mr Wang Yubo at­tended the event.

At the opening cer­emony, Governor Wang Yubo delivered a speech, while Union Minister U Hsan Oo explained the objectives of the exhibi­tion and the promotion of border trade between the two countries. The Union minister and the Yunnan provincial gover­nor officially opened the exhibition and toured the jade booths.

The Myanma Gem­stone Exhibition will be held at the Jiegao Inter­national Jade & Jewel­lery Trade Centre from 22 to 25 July.

Moreover, Union Minister U Hsan Oo held talks with Governor Wang Yubo and his delegation on matters related to the exhibition and bor­der trade between the two countries. — MNA/ MKKS
