FURTHER expansion of hotels and tourism li­cences has recently been approved, bringing new job creation to more than 500 young people, accord­ing to the Yangon Region Tourism Committee.

 

In the regional tour­ism committee meeting held on 22 July, permis­sions were granted for two hotel construction pro­jects, six hotel licences, 56 inbound tour operator licences and 30 outbound tour operator licences.

 

The approval of li­cences and permits can support the creation of new job opportunities for 532 young individuals.

 

The regional tourism committee chair and Yan­gon Region Chief Minis­ter U Aung Naing Thu attended the meeting and delivered speeches. — TWA/ZS
