FURTHER expansion of hotels and tourism licences has recently been approved, bringing new job creation to more than 500 young people, according to the Yangon Region Tourism Committee.
In the regional tourism committee meeting held on 22 July, permissions were granted for two hotel construction projects, six hotel licences, 56 inbound tour operator licences and 30 outbound tour operator licences.
The approval of licences and permits can support the creation of new job opportunities for 532 young individuals.
The regional tourism committee chair and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu attended the meeting and delivered speeches. — TWA/ZS
