MAGWAY Region Chief Minister U Tin Ko Ko vis­ited Taungdwingyi Town­ship on 25 July to inspect a free medical outreach programme, attend a vil­lage land grant distribu­tion ceremony, and review the completion of the Zwe sluice gate project.

 

At No 4 Basic Educa­tion High School (Moeh­ti), specialist doctors from the Magway Geneal Hos­pital provided free medi­cal treatment under the government’s plan. The team, comprising sur­geons and specialists in dentistry, dermatology, pediatrics, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecol­ogy, ophthalmology, and general medicine, treated 665 patients, including 113 referred cases. The chief minister met patients, offered words of encour­agement, and distributed medicines and nutritional supplies.

 

He later attended a ceremony where 75 res­idents of Natsingon Vil­lage received village land lease certificates cover­ing 12.75 acres under the plan.

 

In the afternoon, the chief minister inspect­ed the newly complet­ed reinforced concrete Zwe sluice gate near Thaphankon Village. Built with a K765 million Union government budget, the project is expected to im­prove irrigation for about 650 acres of farmland, ac­cording to the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Depart­ment. — Naung Naung (Beikthano Land)/ST
