UNION Minister for Religious Affairs U Tin Oo Lwin received Mr Harishchandra Ghimire, Ambassador of Nepal to Myanmar, in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They discussed religious cooperation between Myanmar and Nepal, future plans for continued collaboration, the relief and assistance provided for the damage caused by the Mandalay earthquake, the joint efforts by the two countries to repair the damaged stone inscriptions within the Maha Muni Buddha Image compound in Mandalay, the completion of the restoration works, and the successful organization of the stone inscription reopening ceremony. — MNA/ KTZH
