Hpa-an 29 March

 

With the aim of narrowing a gap between urban and rural areas, the public talk was conducted by the Hpa-an District Information and Public Relations Department in Wutgyi village, Hpa-an Township, Kayin State on 28 March.

 

At the event, Kayin State Minister for Bamar Ethnic Affairs U Taza Htut Hlaing Htwe gave opening remarks and an official from the IPRD clarified the purpose of the talk. In addition, officials from Pyithu Hluttaw, Hpa-an District Public Health Department, Anti-Narcotics Task Force, Hpa-an Township Education Department, Township Agricultural Department, Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department, Department of Agricultural Land Management and Statistics and Township Rural Development Department discussed rural development projects and cooperation of respective departments.

 

Next, the attendees also discussed the basic needs of the villages such as health, education, electricity and the officials attended to the needs. At the end of the ceremony, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force disseminated pamphlets about scourge of drug to the attendees.
