A meeting on holding the walking Thingyan (water festival) in Hpapun for the first time was held at the Township General Administration Department in Hpapun, Kayin state this morning.

In his address at the meeting, the Township Administrator touched on arrangements made for holding the walking Thingyan in Hpapun on a grand scale and called on the public participation for success of the festival. The Township Administrator looked into preparations made for the holding of the festival including earth works and preparatory measures.—Saw Aung Myo Lwin (IPRD)
