A livestock breeding and public healthcare course was opened at Shwe Pauk Pin Hall of the General Administration Department in Pauk Township, Magway Region on 31 March.
    

 

First, Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Ye Tun Win made an opening speech and Deputy Director of the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department Dr. Myint Oo clarified ways to prevent infectious diseases that can be transmitted to fro animals to people in order to consume meat and fish in a safe and secure manner. Next, Township Administrator U Kyaw Swar Ohn shared his opinion for development of livestock breeding sector to be able to improve socioeconomic status in rural areas.
    

 

Assistant Director of the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department Dr. Sein Win also explained the purpose of the course. The trainees are being given knowledge about anthrax, rabies, tuberculosis (TB) and H1N1 diseases during the tow-day training course.—Nyan Toe (IPRD)
