Expired and unregistered drugs confiscated from pharmacies since May 2017 was destroyed by officials from the Food and Drug Administration in Mongnai Township, Southern Shan State.
The incineration ceremony was held in the compound of a public hospital in Lankho this morning. “We incinerated about 87 kinds of unexpired and unregistered medicine which was confiscated 12 pharmacies” said chairperson of the township food and drug supervisory committee Dr. Zin Mie Han.
The ceremony was also attended by Township Administrator U Soe Htut, the head of the township police force Police Major Aung Ko Myint, and departmental officials.—Myo Nyunt Shwe (Mongnai)
