Members of the Consumer Dispute Resolution Committee destroyed unhygienic and expired sea food which was confiscated from some shops in Mahaaungmye Township at a cemetery in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region this morning.

Officials from the Consumer Dispute Resolution Committee conducted a surprise check throughout Mahaaungmye Township on 26 March. They found that 30 kinds of sea food packing in 407 packets are contaminated and took some of them as sample items.

They incinerated the confiscated sea food worth more than Ks. 1.2 million after examining that sea foods are harmful to consumers.—Tun Tun Naing (IPRD)
