Bamboo and Environmental Greening Association is planning to distribute white bamboo seeds to bamboo growers in Salingyi, Yinmabin, Kani, Butalin and Ayardaw townships in Sagaig region in 2019, according to U Thant Zin, chairman of the association.

“In 2018, our association grew bamboo plants in collaboration with local governing bodies, Forest Department and local people. In 2019, we will not distribute bamboo plants. Instead, we will donate white bamboo seeds which are suitable for the region. We have already distributed the seeds to some villages. Trees growers Associations can contact us for the seeds if they want to grow white bamboo plants. We will donate the seeds to them. We are working together to get the weather better as possible as we can and I want to call for the participation of the people, said U Thant Zin.

In 2019, the association will donate white bamboo seeds to bamboo growers in Salingyi, Yinmabin, Kani, Butalin and Ayardaw Townships through members of Pyithu Hluttaw and Forest Departments.
