Pantanaw, 8 April
A rural concrete road was opened to public in Pwathel Village, Pantanaw Township in Ayeyawady Region on Sunday.
On the occasion, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Mahn Nyunt Thein made an opening speech and an official from the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation explained matters relating to the road. A village elder also spoke words of thanks for construction of the road. Next, the lawmakers, departmental officials and village elders cut a ceremonial ribbon to open the facility.
The road is of concrete type and measures 1,410 ft. in length, 8 ft. in width and 6 inch in height. It was built with more than Ks. 14 million contributed by the DRD under its Village Development Plan and local people.—Pyae Phyo Kyaw (IPRD)
