Pyawbwe, 8 April

 

Eight people were injured after a vehicle hit an iron railing of a small bridge on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in Pyawbwe Township, Mandalay Region on 6 April.

 

The accident occurred near milepost 272/2 on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway when a motorcar with seven people aboard crashed on an iron railing   of a 60 ft. long bridge at about 6:15 a.m. on 6 April. The car heading to Mandalay from Nay Pyi Taw was driven by a man named Zin Min Aung. Seven people including the driver were hurt in the incident.

 

Out of the injured people, a woman identified as Daw Aye Aye Mar sustained severe injuries in her head. The injured people were transferred to a public hospital in Meiktila. An investigation into the case is ongoing by the Highway Police Force.—MOHA
