Thuwanwadi, 8 April

A man was killed in a head-on collision in which two vehicles involved between Mile posts 139/5 and 139/6 on Yango-Mawlamyine Road in Mon State yesterday.

A vehicle which was on its way from Bilin To Thaton, driven by Yan Naing Aung, 33, from Thanbyuzayat with two people onboard, was out of control and collided head-on with another vehicle driven by Waiyan Ko Ko, 23, from Ottada Village, Paung Township with the two people onboard, which was on its way from Thaton to Bilin.

In the accident, Yan Naing Aung, the driver, died on the spot and U Soe Min was sent to Theinseik station hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities filed a charge against the driver for his negligence.
