At the invitation of Gen. Li Zuocheng, Chief of the Joint Staff, member of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China, Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party left Nay Pyi Taw international airport by air to China yesterday morning.

Upon arrival at the Kunming Changshui International Airport, the Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief and party were welcomed by Maj-Gen Yu Kun, political commissar of Yunnan military region, Deputy Governor of Yunnan Province Mr. Zhanguo Hua and high ranking officers from Chinese People’s Liberation Army. After the Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief and party were hosted a luncheon by the Yunnan Province Party Secretary Mr. Chen Hao, they left Kunming Changshui International Airport by air and reached Nanyuan public/military airport, Beijing in the evening. The Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief and party were welcomed at the airport by Myanmar Ambassador U Thit Lin Ohn and officials from Chinese People’s Liberation Army international military cooperation office and went to the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing for a brief stop.

Later in the evening, the Tatmadaw Commander-in-Chief and party went to the Myanmar Embassy where they were welcomed by families of the embassy and military attaché’s office and officers attending training courses.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing then met with families of the embassy and military attachés office and officers attending training courses. He then presented foodstuff and gifts to the ambassador, military attaché, families of the embassy and military attache’s office and officers attending training courses.
