Nun Quang Duyen and members from Vietnam Buddhist missionary group donated US $ 4,000 to Taunggone village administrator U Hla Thuang and villagers to dig a well for drinking water in Taunggone village, Ngathayork Township, Nyaung-U district, Mandalay region this morning, according to the village administrator.
Nun Quang Duyen and members wanted to make a donation for drinking water supply to villages that face scarcity of water. After having contact with U Kyaw San, chairman of the Township NLD, Nun Quang Duyen and members went to Taunggone village that faces scarcity of water and donated US $ 4000 to dig a well.
The village already had a land plot for the well. Negotiation are being made to sign a contract to dig a well soon, according to the village administrator.— Maung Maung Htein
