Sponsored by Myanmar Red Cross Society and German Red Cross Society, a first aid training course -2 was opened this morning in Shwe-U-daung School in Myohaung Ale Ward in Thanlyin.

At the event, Director Daw Khin Khin Shein of First Aid and Safety Services Department and Dr Daw Hla Kyin, Chairperson of Yangon Region Red Cross Supervisory Committee, explained the purpose of the course, jointly opened by MRCS and GRCS.

Also present on the occasion were Director Daw Khin Khin Shein of FASSD and officials, Chairperson of Yangon Region RCSC Dr Daw Hla Kyin and officials, chairpersons of district and township level RCSCs and staff, departmental officials and the trainees.

The eight-day course is being attended by 30 trainees from Thanlyin, Khayan and other Townships in Yangon Region. The course will run from April 23 to 30.—Thet Khine (Thanlyin)
