A new concrete road was inaugurated in Nyaungkautkwe village in Thayawady township, Thayawady district, Bago region yesterday morning.
At the event, MP U Aung Myint of Pyithu Hluttaw explained matters relating to the newly-constructed road, followed by a presentation about the works being carried out by the District Rural Development Department by U Zaw Moe, head of the department.
The road was constructed at a cost of K 10 million under village development project in 2018-2019 fiscal years by the department in collaboration with local people. The new concrete road, that is 1600 feet long, four feet wide and six feet high, will provide smooth transportation for the residents in the village which has a population of over 450.—Min Myintmo ( Ngazun)
