Public awareness talks about the danger of land mines were held at the meeting hall of the Township General Administration Department in Maungtaw Township, Rakhine state this morning.
The event was conducted by the Township Social Welfare Department in collaboration with UNICEF and CFSI.
At the event, the Township Deputy Administrator U Phyu Hla in his speech urged ward/ village administrators and staff to keep the knowledge received from the talks in mind and to share that knowledge with the general public. Then, officials from UNICEF and CFSI elaborated on the danger of land mines with the help of video clip and the impacts of land mines and ammunitions left from the war, handing out pamphlets on how to keep away from the danger of mines.
