Officials from the Myaungmya District Disaster Management Department, Township General Administration Department provided cash aid to the monastery affected by fire in Kanyingone village-tract, Myaungmya Township, Ayeyawady Region yesterday.

A total of K 348,000_ K 300,000 for purchasing of construction materials and K 48,000 for robes was donated to Presiding Sayadaw.

The fire started from the candle fire which was lit on the shrine at night and it consumed a monastery building.
