The upgrade of Hpasawng-Mesenum-Mese-Namum-Bipi 13 road is being undertaken by Department of Highways with budget of 2018-2019 Fiscal Year.

The extension of the width of Hpasawng-Mesenum road section and Namum-Bipi 13 road section from 12 ft to 18 ft was conducted with funds of 2017-2018 FY. This fiscal year, the road section between mileposts 20/4 and 30/0  is being upgraded into tar road from 12 ft to 18 ft in width by tender winning company starting from January in order to meet the target date.

The  Mese-Wumkan road section will be implemented next 2019-2020 FY. Upon completion, it will bring safe transportation to local residents to visit to neighboring Thailand and help improve border trade.
