A suspect who is one of six men allegedly robbed a gold shop was nabbed by the police for questioning in Tachileik Township, Shan State, on 4 May.

The police squad from Wangpone police outpost raided the house of a suspicious man identified as Aik Kham Than (alias) Kham Htan (aka) Hsan Kham Hsan at about 2:30 p.m. on 4 May. They caught the suspect who is believed to have involved in the robbery with two bullets, bellows and related items in the house.

Six people equipped with guns robbed a jewelry shop belongs to U Aik Tun and took jewellery, diamond jewellery, cash and mobile phones worth about Ks. 290 million on Bogyoke Aung San Street in Tachilek at around 7:30 am on 29 March.

The police also arrested a suspect involved in the robbery in Mongkoe villag-tract on 2 April.—Myint Mo (Tachilek)
