An inauguration of a rural concrete road which was built on a self-reliant basis took place in Tapelinn Village, ChaungU Township in Sagaing Region on 5 May.

The rural road was formally opened by a Buddhist monk, regional lawmakers U Kyaw Hsan and U Win Myint Khin, Chairman of the township management committee U Aung Baw, and officials from the Electricity Supply Enterprise and the Department of Rural Development by cutting a ceremonial ribbon.

The road was built with Ks. 58.3 million donated by the Buddhist monk and local people. It is 1,300 ft. long, 12 ft. wide and 6 inch thick, said U Kyaw Hsan, member of the road construction committee.—Ei Ei Aung (ChaungU)
