Four people were killed after a semi-truck carrying rock overturned Moeyu Village, Indaw Township in Sagaing Region on Sunday.

Upon information received, a police squad led by Police Sub-Inspector Phyo Thu Kyaw together with eye witnesses rushed to the scene of the accident at around 12:30 p.m. on 12 May. A six-wheeler truck driven by a man identified as Maung Paw flipped over near Moeyu Village in Indaw Township. Four villagers died on the spot in the incident.
The semi-truck was loaded with rocks for construction of a monastery. The truck driver is being detained for questioning over the incident.—Lu Aung (Katha)
