Myanmar-Thai coordination meeting was held on 13th and 14th May in Phuket, Thailand.

Director General of Department of Labour, Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population U Win Shein, Representatives from the Consular and Legal Affair Department, and National Registration Citizenship Department, Special Branch, Anti Human Trafficking in Person Division, Myanmar Minister counselor to Thailand and Thai Director General of Department of labour Mrs. Petchara Sinauy attended the meeting.

During the meeting, They discussed MoU sending legal workers to Thailand, permission for the workers with almost expire Work Permit to continue working , full legal protection of works, Sending workers from Myanmar with MoU and extension of agreement between Myanmar and Thailand concerning designation of expenditure and employing workers from each other’s country. Director General and the entourage visited labours’ data collecting center of Ordinary Passport Issuing Department to ask about the working and living condition of officials and gave necessary instruction on 12 May in Thailand.—MNA (Translated by Alphonsus)
