With a view to creating job opportunities for women in rural areas, the Department of Rural Development organized an advanced sewing course at its meeting hall in Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State this morning.

First of all, an official from the Township DRD clarified the purpose of the course, followed by the presentation of sewing-machines, stationeries and uniforms to the trainees.

Also present on the occasion were township level departmental staff, course instructors and the trainees. The four-week training course is being attended by 15 trainees.—Cho Myat Myat Htway(Kyaikmaraw)
