The staff from the Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided relief supplies to the internally displaced people at Yan Aung Monastery in Maungtaw District, Buthidaung Township, Rakhine State this afternoon.

Officials from the Township’s GAD, township police force, and the DDM furnished the displaced people from 114 households with 594 viss of legumes, 148.5 viss of cooking oil, and 29.7 viss of salt.

Afterwards, Township Administrator U Kyaw Min Tun encouraged the displaced people who are taking shelter at the monastery in Maungtaw District.—Daw Phyu Phyu Win, IPRD
