UN High Commissioner for Refugees, (UNHCR) Chief Mr. Fillippo Grandi, and entourage toured around Ywar Ma Village and Ywar Ma Gone Nar Village in Buthidaung Township, yesterday morning.
He then asked the locals about their necessity and saw progress of drinking water reservoir renovation in Ywar Ma Gone Nar Village. Afterwards, he and the entourage went over to Yan Aung Myain Monastery to meet with IDPs. During the meeting, he said that he represents humanitarian work there and that they are ready to help any place in need of help. Then he visited Phar Wut Chaung village in Maungtaw Township and interviewed some locals.
Afterwards, the High Commissioner and entourage met with Muslims in Pan Taw Pyin (middle) Village and inquired their needs. They also visited places where a school and salt water dyke are to be buit.
