The final matches of the chief minister’s cup inter-township U-25 men and women’s Sepaktakaraw championship were held in conjunction with a prize awarding ceremony at Koethein indoor stadium in Pathein, Ayeyawady Region this morning.

In the men’s final, the team representing Maubin Township beat the team representing Pyapon Township. The squad representing Zalun Township won over the lineup representing Myanaung Township in the women’s final game. Next, the chief minister and concerned officials presented championship trophies and best player wards to the award winning athletes.

Also present on the occasion were regional ministers, departmental staff and spectators. The contest was held from 20 to 23 May.—Maung Maung Myint (IPRD)
