A rice offering ceremony was held in Seinkhun Village, Prakyut District in Thailand this morning to promote friendship between Myanmar and Thailand.

Accompanied by Deputy Commissioner U Aung Kyaw Oo, departmental staff and donors, 100 Buddhist monks led by Presiding Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Bhaddanta Larsana and Chairman of Taninthayi Region Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Bhaddanta Narada attended the ceremony at in invitation of Thai authorities.

Similar occasions between the two countries were held in Myeik, Taninthayi Region. This was the third time of its kind and the first-ever event hosted by Thailand.—Zaw Myo Naing
