A ceremony to inaugurate Natsin Bridge over the Mondine Creek in Meiktila Township was held at the archway of the bridge this morning.

The bridge was formally opened by MP Dr. Maung Thin of Pyithu Hluttaw, District Administrator U Thet Lwin, MP U Aung Kyaw Moe and U Soe Than of regional Hluttaw and Township Administrator U Chan Nyein Aung.

First, MP Dr. Maung Thin of Pyithu Hluttaw gave remarks and donor Captain Thaung Myint (Retd) clarified the purpose of the renovation of the bridge. One of community leaders also spoke words of thanks to donors.

Afterwards, the officials also inspected the strength of the bridge. The old one with 80 ft in length, and 15 ft in width was developed into a new one with steel structure starting from 21 April. In addition, four solar lamp posts were put in place on the bridge for the safety of the passers-by.

The facility will bring safe transportation to local residents from villages in Kyauk-byu-gone village-tract and Galon-gone village-tract.
