A ceremony to present compensation for confiscated farmlands to a farmer was held at the township administrator’s office in KhinU Township, Sagaing Region on 3 June.

First, Chairman of the township management committee U Thein Zaw explained matters relating to land compensation and granted Ks. 1.18 million to a farmer.  Also present on the occasion were Assistant Director U Zeyar Soe and officials from the Ministry of Construction.

0.59 acre of farmland belonging to a villager named U Myint was confiscated when the Mu River crossing bridge was built in KhinU Township.—Soe Wai Aung (IPRD)
