An inauguration of a new basic education middle school built under the Community-driven project being implemented by the Department of Rural Development took place in Zeepyar Village, Pauk Township in Magway Region on Monday.

At the ceremony, Township Education Officer U Myint Htay, an advisor to the community-driven project, an official from the technical advisory body of the township community driven development project, a police officer and the village administrator unveiled the new school facility by cutting a ceremonial ribbon and sprinkling scented water on its stone inscription. The township education officer, in his speech, urged the locals to engage in the works for durability of the school.

The structure measures 80 ft. in length, 30 ft. in width and 12 ft. in height and was built with around Ks. 20 million funded by the 2019 community-driven project and donated by the locals.—Nyan Toe (Pauk)
