A ceremony to provide chemical fertilizers to farmers who grow summer paddy was held at the office of Department of Agriculture in Pakokku yesterday.

First of all, an official from the District Department of Agriculture delivered an opening speech. Afterwards, an official from the Township Department of Agriculture clarified the purpose of the provision of chemical fertilizers for farmers.

This was followed by the presentation of 47 bags of chemical fertilizers to 16 farmers in Pakokku District. There are 1293 acres of summer paddy fields in Pakokku District, it is learnt.—Ko Zaw (Chemical)
