No one was injured after a vehicle caught fire in Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay on 7 June, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.

The fire broke out in a vehicle belonging to a man named Waiyan Htet, 26 years old at the corner of 74th Street and Kyansistha Street in Ward-C in Pyigyidagun Township at around 11:15 p.m. The fire is believed to have started from an overheated wire cable and no casualties were reported in the incident.

An action is being taken against the car owner over fire negligence by the local police in accordance with the law.—MOHA
