The Department of Disaster Management (DDM) under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement organized the simulation about flood in Phaungpyin Township, Sagaing Region yesterday morning.

The participants demonstrated how to use lifeboats and ambulances when natural disasters occur in the area. Firefighters, auxiliary firemen, volunteers from the township Red Cross society, and medical staff were involved actively in the simulation.

The regional lawmaker, the township administrator, departmental staff and local people witnessed the disaster drill.—IPRD
