Inter-village roads are being built with the Union Budget by the Border Areas and National Races Development Department under the Ministry of Border Affairs in Mese Township, Kayah State and the project has been about 90 percent finished.

The inter-village roads are of earthen type and are being built to help local people use them in all seasons. In addition, nine box culverts and small concrete bridges are also being constructed by two private construction companies and are expected to be completed soon. One reinforced concrete type facility is also being developed in the compound of a monastery in Maesenam Village-tract. Concrete pavement works for a lane is being undertaken by spending the Kayah State’s development funds.
Township Administrator U Hla Myo Tun and members of the township quality inspection committee looked into progress of construction tasks on 9 June.—Wutyi (IPRD)
