A new bridge built over Namphun creek running between Dunnwe village and Mongyu town was commissioned into service this morning.
Col. Aye Min Oo from local battalion, MP U Sai Tun Aung of Pyithu Hluttaw, U Nyi Nyi Win, Mongyong township administrator and U Aung Pyi Phyo, Mongyu town administrator cut a ribbon to formally open the new bridge. Then, they walked over the bridge to inspect it. Afterwards, local ethnic dance troupe performed traditional dances at the event.
The road bridge with iron frame is 65 feet long and 14 feet wide and was constructed at a total cost of K 30 million, derived from development fund of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw and contributions made by local people and donors.
