Myinmu, 17 June
The Forest Department distributed more than 10,000 saplings to residents in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region with the aim of making the environment clean, green and peaceful.

The saplings compatible with the climate conditions in the area are grown ahead of the rainy season in order to distribute the seedlings to the local people. The thriving saplings are distributed to rural people, schools, regiments and different organizations free of charge, said U Soe Tint, the staff officer from the department.
The department grew 30,000 saplings such as teak, neem and eucalyptus for the 2019-2020 tree-planting season and supplied over 10,000 seedlings to those who are interested in planting trees.—Aung Soe Pe (IPRD)
