A ceremony to upgrade Maungtine village basic primary school to a post primary school was held in the said school in Maungtine village in Thazi township, Mandalay region this morning.

 

 First, MP U Kyaw Thiha of Amyotha Hluttaw, U Sit Nyein Aye, deputy township administrator and U Maung Maung, deputy township education officer cut a ribbon to unveil the signboard of the school. Then, the schoolchildren sang a song named “peaceful Myanmar”, followed by a speech by MP U Kyaw Thiha. Afterwards, deputy township education officer talked about education, followed by speech about words of thanks by headmistress Daw Than Than Win and village administrator U Kyaw Oo. 

 

Then, U Zaw Oo and wife Daw Thida Soe from Taunggyi town, donated school uniforms for 92 students.—Tun Tun( Thazi)
