A ceremony to open management course-3 for deputy heads of government departments was held in kaytumadi hall of Public Services Academy, Central Institute of Civil Service (Lower Myanmar) at 9 am today.
In his opening speech, Permanent Secretary U Khin Maung Win of union civil service board said that the course is intended to help improve the capability and leadership skills of high-ranking officers in management sectors of government departments who would take over greater responsibility in the future and to bring forth excellent departmental heads.
The incumbent government has been carrying out wide-ranging reforms including politic and economic reforms and internal peace building, and on the right track. But there exist a lot of requirements to meet the future goals and norms. As civil service personnel play a vital role in reform processes, the personnel would always try to improve their quality and capability, he said.
A total of 18 trainees- seven females and 11 males- will attend the 8-week course that will run from June 24 to August 16.—MNA
