A ceremony to hand over sports facilities provided by Sports and Physical Education Department to Yenangyaung Township Sports and Physical Education Committee was held at the meeting hall of the Township General Administration Department in Yenangyaung Township Magway region yesterday evening. 

At the event, members of parliaments U Tha Cho and U Khin Win called for cooperation to boost sports facilities for youths in the towship. Then, township administrator U Man Ko haw said that holding sports events can bring about health benefits and cooperation among youths and decrease the use of drugs. 

Then, U Aung Phyo Ko, a technical expert from the SPED accounted for the expenses for the sports events held. Then, members of parliaments handed over sports facilities to members of the township sports sub-committees. The sports facilities include 20 football balls, 20 volley balls, 10 futsal balls, two sets of football net, five sets of volley ball net, three dozens of table tennis balls, 10 sets of karate gloves and others. 

Three sets of outdoor sports facilities will be put in place in public areas, it is learnt.—Ko Soe Gyi
