Officials from the Myanmar Railways held a meeting with local people over Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to conduct a feasibility study at the city hall in Muse, Northern Shan State this morning, with an address by Township Administrator U Thurein.

The meeting aims at conducting a feasibility study for construction of the Muse-Mandalay Railroad. At first, an assistant engineer from the MR extended greetings and experts from Ever Green Tech Environmental Services and Training Co Ltd explained damages and protection tasks due to the implementation of the railroad project. Concerned officials also replied to queries raised by local people.

The meeting was also attended by the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Sai Phoe Myat, departmental staff, ward administrators, volunteers and local people.—Salai Van Roe Thang (IPRD)
