The Agricultural Mechanization Department is selling DongFeng power tillers to the farmers who cannot afford to purchase tractors in Yinmabin and Pale Townships, Sagaing Region through an installment system, said an official from the department.

“Our department is demonstrating how to use power tillers and conducting repair courses for power tillers. We sell power tillers to the farmers who are unable to buy tractors through hire-purchase system. The farmers can pay the cost for the power tillers by three times under the installment system, said U Tin Moe, the staff officer from the department.

The department also will be selling the power tillers to the farmers from other areas. 80 power tillers are being sold to the farmers in the fiscal year 2018-2019, he added.—Than Htay Aung (Kani)
