A ceremony to upgrade a Basic Education Middle School to a Sub-High School was held in Thigon Village, Saw Township, Magway Region this morning.

At the event, officials from the Township Education Office, the Township Police Station, Saw B.E.H.S,  Thigon sub-B.E.H.S and Administrator of Thigon, cut a ribbon to open the school.

At the event, U Thang Shin Khaing, staff officer of the Township Education Office, delivered an opening speech. Afterwards, headmistress of sub-B.E.H.S read out a paper on a short history of Thigon School and handed over a flag to assistance officer of the Township Education Office.

Over 100 people including invited guests, locals, teachers and students attended the event.—Township IPRD
