He would try his best not to relegate Southern Myanmar FC from the Myanmar National League to the MNL-2 despite the team currently stands in the 10th position in the table, said Yan Kyaw Htwe, wing striker of the Mawlamyine-based club.

“Most of the team’s remaining MNL matches are to be played at our home stadium. We will try our best to save the team from relegation, taking advantage of this (To be played at home stadium in Mawlamyine). I would like to urge our fans not to be disappointed with the team’s result and to continue their support,” he said.

Southern Myanmar FC will host Sagaing United as MNL week-15 at home stadium in Mawlamyine at 3:30 p.m. today. “Sagaing United have improved a lot when compared to performances in last year due to signing of some quality foreign players. We have already made necessary preparations for the match,” the footballer added.

The team will host Sagaing United, Rakhine United, Zwekabin United, Yangon United, and Dagon FC and is set to play against Yadanarbon, Shan United and Magway FC away matches.—By Kyaw Htike Soe
