A medical team led by Dr. Tin Myo Win, Chairman of the National Health Network of the National League for Democracy gave free healthcare services to locals at a monastery in Thongwa Township, Yangon Region yesterday.

Yangon Regional Chief Minister U Phyo Min Thein and Regional Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry and Energy U Han Tun cordially greeted the local people and encouraged them. The medical team offered free healthcare services for 1,550 people on different diseases ranging from eye treatment to surgery. In addition, they donated medical equipment and medicine to the patients.

Afterwards, the regional chief minister held a meeting with departmental officials at the meeting room of the General Administration Department and discussed concerning regional development tasks.—Ko Kyaw (Thongwa)
