A total of 40 Myanmar migrant workers were repatriated by Thai authorities to their Myanmar counterparts at Kawthoung Border Gate this afternoon.

 

The migrant workers were sent back due to illegal stay in Thailand without proper documents and expiry of cross border pass according to the laws of Thailand.

 

The returnees were welcomed by officials from Kawthoung District and Township General Administration Department, Labor, Immigration and Population Department, Anti-Human Trafficking Police Forces, Disaster Management Department. They were provided with health care services by Public Health Department before having been transported to their homes.
