Illegal teak logs and sawn timbers were seized in Manmaw forest reserve and Namhpe forest reserve in Indaw Township, Katha District, Sagaing Region yesterday.

Personnel led by U Myint Naing Oo, Assistance Director from Katha District Forest Department accompanied by police combed the forest and seized illegal teak logs and sawn timbers weighing 83.39 tons and five sawmills. 

Action is being taken against those who got involved in the illegal business.—Lu Aung (Katha)
