The township administrator’s cup men’s open football tournament took place at the Myoma sports ground in Kengtoung Town, Southern Shan State on 9 July.

At the ceremony, Township Administrator U Nan Win formally opened the football contest. The event is held with the aim of strengthening friendship among footballers, producing quality players and selecting outstanding athletes to represent the township, he added.

Eight teams are categorized into two groups. At the opening match, the team named Naungkham (SSS) beat the squad named Road Department 3-0.—Myo Nyunt Shwe
