Some homes in two villages in Maubin Township, Ayeyawady Region have been destroyed by gusty winds on 10 July.

Officials from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, local authorities, and representatives from the National League for Democracy went to the affected villages and furnished the storm victims with relief items.

Relief supplies were provided to the storm victims on a door-to-door basis as they don’t want the storm victims to cost extra charges such as ferry or bus fee, said a government officials.—Aung Khaing
